At Harrison’s we will help you to create a meaningful funeral based on your personal, cultural and financial needs. We understand the importance of creating the type of funeral you and your family wish to have, whilst keeping the cost within your financial means.

You can call our consultants and get a quote or alternatively we can post this information out to you. There are five main costs associated with funerals. The needs of every family do vary, for your convenience our fees are pre-determined to enable a fixed price.

Funeral Planning and Administration

This fee covers the cost of our carefully chosen and trained staff to provide a dignified and quality service to you. From the first contact with your professional funeral consultant dedicated to you and who has access to the total resources of our expert team, respecting and following your directions, providing you with up to date options in order for you to make informed decisions and thus creating a carefully prepared meaningful funeral. Your consultant deals with the placement of news paper notices, dealing with all legal requirements relative to Births, Deaths and Marriages including obtaining the death certificate, liaison and co-ordination of all people involved, provision for at least three staff on the day of the service to take care of your family and your guests and the use of a hearse if required. No additional fee is charged for you to meet with a consultant, after hours or weekends.

Transfer and Mortuary

This fee is for the transfer from a Hospital, Nursing Home or Private Home, our people are available 24 hours, 7 days a week and our trained Team Leader is a full time employee at Harrisons, we have state of the art equipment which provides for gentle treatment.

The next stage of this process is the preparation and care of your loved one in readiness for the funeral service, every consideration is given to preservation of dignity of the deceased whilst they are in our care, our principal embalmer is highly qualified and well respected within the industry.

No additional fee is charged for after hours or weekends.

Chapel

Using a Harrison’s chapel means that our entire facility is dedicated to you and your guests. We only have one funeral service on at a time. You can choose between a morning, afternoon or twilight service. There is an unhurried atmosphere and it gives you time to meet with your guests.

Our chapels are unique and have an open and relaxed atmosphere. Our Queenstown chapel has seating for 140 and standing room for many more. Our Heritage Ridgehaven chapel has seating for 100 along with standing room. Our Rivergum chapel, which is the largest funeral chapel in Adelaide, has seating for 400 along with standing room.

With our chapel fee a lounge is included. This fee also includes a light morning or afternoon tea in our adjoining lounges which consists of; coffee, tea, quiches, pies, cake and biscuits. Extra catering can also be organised, please speak to your arranger who has a comprehensive list of different foods along with costs.

Coffin or Casket

The choice of coffin or casket is a very personal one, display rooms are at both facilities alternatively ipads with visual albums display all 45 styles available, custom colours and hand painting are also an option.

Disbursements

These are fees charged by service providers that we pay on your behalf, which is then shown on your funeral account.

An estimate of the funeral disbursements will be given to you at the time of the arrangement after all of your decisions are made. This estimate will be a comprehensive breakdown of the costs. Generally the only estimate is that of the newspaper notices.

Live Streaming

  • All services can be live streamed
  • Recording of the service can be recovered for up to 12 months and can be downloaded
